IRON MAIDEN Finish Mixing Five Songs
March 24, 2003IRON MAIDEN have finished mixing five songs for the much-anticipated follow-up to 2000's "Brave New World", due later in the year through Sony/Columbia Records.
"IRON MAIDEN mixing is going well," Shirley wrote on his web site. "I hope to be done with the stereo mixes in the next two weeks, and then it's onto the 5.1 surround mixes, which are going to be very exciting and should be fun, although mixing MAIDEN is hard work and not necessarily the most fun mixing job in the world! I do, however, love my job, and wouldn't want to complain for even a second!"
IRON MAIDEN have yet to reveal any of the songtitles or a project album title for the forthcoming effort, the group's second since reuniting with vocalist Bruce Dickinson and guitarist Adrian Smith. The European Leg of the band's "Give Me Ed… 'Til I'm Dead World Tour" is set to kick off on May 23 in La Coruna, Spain.
